  2. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  3. 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  4. 1/2 cup brown sugar (or 2/3 cup sweet for this)
  5. 10 garlic cloves (chopped)
  6. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (chopped)
  7. 1/2 cup light soy sauce
  8. 1 basic hour
  9. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  10. 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  11. corn starch comment
  12. 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  13. 1/2 cup water
  14. Decorate
  15. 1/4 cup green onion (chopped)
  16. 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  17. Chili oil paste

Mongolian Cow Instant Instructions

  1. Heat the pressure cooker. Press Skip, press the set button, select more to activate the skip function, which means the food will be cooked at a moderate temperature. Wait until the Instant Pot indicator is hot.
  2. Place ground beef in a large ziplock bag, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and shake well to coat evenly.
  3. Immediately pour the oil into the hot saucepan, when the oil is hot, add the beef and fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring several times. If you need to brown the beef, don't add too much or it will stand out and brown badly. Please keep in mind: You can also not brown the meat and add it to the pot.
  4. If pieces of meat stick to the pan, add ½ cup of water and defrost the pan. Scrape the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon. If you like, you can refuse this liquid.
  5. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot: minced garlic, minced ginger, light soy sauce, brown sugar, water, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. You can add less sugar according to your taste and preference. Please keep in mind: You can also not brown the meat and add it to the pot.
  6. Mix well until all ingredients are combined and covered with sauce.
  7. Close the lid and cook under high pressure for 8 minutes + 10 minutes for natural release. Turn off the flame. Release the remaining pressure after 10 minutes. Time did not pass. Open the cover.
  8. Prepare the cornstarch by mixing the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until completely combined. Pour the liquid into the saucepan with the Instant Fryer, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes in the skillet, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Turn off the Instant Pot and let the Mongolian beef sit for 8-10 minutes, during which time the sauce will harden and thicken.
  9. Served with rice and garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
