Steps to make to make Valentines Semolina

  1. To a broad pan add in 1 tsp of ghee and milk.
  2. Bring to boil. Then add in condensed milk, khowa, sugar,milk chocolate, milk powder and beetroot juice.
  3. Mix well, reduce flame and add in roasted semolina or rava.
  4. Stir well so that no lumps form.
  5. Cook until liquid evaporates completely and the mixture leaves the sides.
  6. Transfer to a mixing bowl and then knead a little to make the mixture smooth.
  7. Take small portion of the mixture to a greased heart shaped mould. Press with your fingers to make a heart shaped figure with a cavity at the centre.
  8. Transfer to a dish. Set aside to cool down.
  9. Now for the filling (pomegranate compote), heat together orange juice and pomegranate arils.
  10. Cook in low heat until the pomegranate arils become soft.
    Add in sugar, ginger powder, salt and orange zest.
  11. When the mixture becomes sticky and glossy remove from heat.
    Let the mixture cool down completely.
  12. For serving, take 1 heart shaped sweet at the centre of a white plate.
    Fill the cavity with pomegranate compote.
